Yes, I took these over two weeks ago, and yes, she is closer to 11 months now than she is to her 10-month birthday. But I've gotta post these photos! I took them on two different days, just when the sun was lighting up this room well and she was relatively happy.
Let's see, her 10th month info:
At her last doctor visit, she weighed in at 19 lb 6 oz. And that was up from 18 lb 1 oz a couple weeks before at her 9-month checkup. Gaining weight so fast! And she is getting longer and leaner every day. Her little legs are growing so fast, getting ready to walk. Every day she looks more like a toddler and less like a little baby. It's so sad, but so fun to see her growing in to this little person, and being able to picture kind of what she'll look like throughout her childhood.
This month marked 1 year since we moved to North Carolina, so I guess we are ALL North Carolinians now, not just our little southern miss.
Near the beginning of this month, she started humming along with us when we hummed her songs (which we almost always do at naptime/bedtime). It was so adorable. Just humming notes after we hummed them. Such a good musical ear this child has!
We also had one of the best poop adventures yet...let's just say it involved a big poop leak up her back, and us not realizing it until she had leaned against multiple surfaces in our house.
She also started to hand us things this week ('sharing' right? Haha). Not that she'll give them up, but at least she gets the idea of handing people things.
Eloise became a LOUD squealer this month! She will mimic our loud squeals of delight, which sometimes sound more like screams than squeals. I love it. It is endlessly hilarious. She's such a mini-me-child. I was a loud screamer/squealer, too.
She also started pulling herself up on EVERYTHING this month. Only 'cruises' sometimes, but got pretty good at it one night when she insisted on being awake all night, and she learned to cruise along the couch around 3 in the morning. But she loves pulling herself up on everything, and standing there forever. She uses her forehead to get up :)
Both top front teeth came through this month! Her top right one came through first, and the left one just before her birthday. She is going to have the big old Duke gap, and I love that. I had a huge gap between my front teeth, and she already has that - adds so much personality, right? ;) But, we just won't mention how much fun teething has been...
Eloise also started hugging her stuffed animals occasionally this month. It is so sweet, and a good step for this girl who lost her love of stuffed animals months ago. We want her to love them again!
She learned how to do HIGH FIVES this month! She also learned how to clap! Both in time for the first BYU game of the season. Perfect timing!
We just love Miss Eloise so much, and having her is worth all of the hard times, sleepless nights, cranky teething, and poopy hands :)
